Catering for Outdoor Parties

You must think we’re crazy, given that it’s only February and there may be snow when you look out your window, but Spring starts in a little more than a month, which means it’s almost time to start enjoying outdoor parties and events again. But just how do you go about planning an outdoor party? Fortunately, it’s pretty simple, and we’re here to provide you with a few tips to help you get started.

Having the right amount of space and seating is always important. If you don’t have enough room on your own property, consider having the party at a park or another public space. You may even have to rent a venue. Once you have the location picked out, try to make sure you have at least a few chairs for people to sit in if they get tired of standing, and maybe even consider a tent in case it rains.

In fact, having a separate plan in case it rains is always a good idea. In the event of a storm, being able to move the party indoors should be your first option. If you don’t have an indoor location available, try to have everyone wait out the storm under a pavilion or in their cars so they aren’t soaked for the rest of the day.

Finally, if you plan on having your party last until the evening, make sure you have enough light. The last thing you want is for someone to trip in the dark and get hurt. If the location of your party doesn’t already have lights, you may have to bring your own.

Of course, having delicious food is also important, regardless of whether your party is indoors or outdoors. For all of your catering needs, contact the team at R & R Catering today!
